Age 16-19 Registration -Step 1

To be eligible for Glasgow Guarantee you must meet the criteria below:

• You must be aged 16-19
• You must reside within the Glasgow City Council postcode boundary or have attended a Glasgow City Council secondary school.
• You must be eligible to leave school.
• You must be currently unemployed (or be working less than 16 hours per week)

PLEASE NOTE- Depending on your circumstances we may be required to check some of your registration information with your school. By submitting a registration you are giving us permission to do this.

We may also email you asking you to provide documents to prove you meet the criteria, if this is the case we will explain what these documents are and how to send them to us. You may also be asked to attend a short interview with one of our Engagement Officers, this is to give you a short overview of the programme and discuss your employment status. Again, this just depends on the information you provide.

Registering with Glasgow Guarantee will give you access to apply for MODERN APPRENTICESHIPS & JOBS WITH TRAINING

Employers recruiting Modern Apprentices through our programme are asked to pay a minimum wage of £4. This is higher than the National Minimum Apprentice Wage which is currently £3.30ph.

Employers recruiting candidates into a Job with Training are asked to pay a percentage of the Glasgow Living Wage depending on your age at start date. The Glasgow Living Wage is currently £8.25ph and will increase to £8.45 on the 1st April 2017.
